Why Do I Always Have To Do It

by passiveaggressive @ 2007-06-08 - 11:11:36

My fella and son are fairly good at doing jobs round the house.  My fella will hoover and mop and my son does the washing up and unloads the washer and dryer when I ask them to so I can't complain really.  So why am I the only person who will clean the toilet and bathroom?

I don't pee behind the toilet seat and on the floor so I object to the fact that I'm the one that has to sort it out.  But there's no point asking who did it as both reckon it wasn't them.  That's right, I have a phantom widdler in my house who creates puddles when my back is turned.

So another morning was spent bleaching and scubbing until the place was up to my standard again and didn't smell like the bottom of a hamster's cage.   But I suppose if I didn't clean it myself then it wouldn't be clean enough for me to use as I'm a bit funny about germs and bodily fluids.

That is just totally understandable hun. I'm not into the germs and smells either. At least they help with some of the work though. A lot of families don't even do that. I used to think I was hard done by with my hubby until I realised that my girlfriends hubby doesn't do a thing around the house, or help her with the kids. He pretty well pleases himself as to what he does after work and on weekends. Bit unfair, but hey, not my problem, lol. I don't complain too much about the work hubby doesn't do around the house. I try to focus on what he does do. And yeah, my hubby hoovers too, lol.

Oooh you have a phantom piddler as well:)

I hate it, I hate cleaning it, yet it is always me that does it!!

Oh and the fairies have given up on this house you know, they no longer come and clean!

Wow, we've got a phantom piddler too, thats 3 of them - I wonder how many more there are :P?! I've cleaned the toilet once or twice and it is not a pleasant experience is it?

Toiling toilet cleaning is an art form yet to be discovered by the male sex...pee-ing carefully is yet another ...
My dog ( a boy) pissed on the guest bed after the male friend slept in it, does that count?!

Our last house had been rented out to a group of not-so-phantom pee-ers, and the whole upstairs stank (which is probably why no one had put an offer in on it).

We've got a tortoise that does all his bodily functions wherever he feels like and continually walks/podges through it - does that count?
